Delete your InkMeld account
There are two ways to delete your InkMeld account. You can either do it directly inside the app with one tap, or email us at [email protected] and ask us to process the deletion for you.
There are two ways to delete your InkMeld account. You can either do it directly inside the app with one tap, or email us at [email protected] and ask us to process the deletion for you.
Account deletion is intended to be permanent. Once completed, access to cloud-synced content, account-linked entitlements, and related account records may be lost and may not be recoverable.
InkMeld currently supports two deletion paths:
If you still have access to the app, the in-app method is usually the fastest route. If you no longer have access to the app, changed devices, lost the session, or need manual help, email is the fallback path.
This is the in-app self-service route described by the product. It is intended to remove the account without you needing to contact support first.
If you cannot access the app, email us at [email protected] from the email address connected to the account if possible. We recommend using the subject line Delete InkMeld account.
To help us locate the correct account safely, include the registered email address and, if you know it, any additional identifying detail such as the platform you used or the approximate purchase date.
Subject to legal and technical limitations, account deletion is generally intended to remove or de-link the main account record and related user data that we no longer need to keep. Depending on how you used InkMeld, this may include some combination of:
Deletion of the account does not necessarily reach every copy instantly. Some data may need to be cleared through scheduled jobs, propagation delays, storage cleanup, or backup-expiry cycles.
Even after an account deletion request, we may retain limited data where we are legally allowed or required to do so, including for:
Retained data will be limited to what is reasonably necessary for those purposes.
Account deletion may not automatically remove every copy outside the account system. You may also need to delete:
To protect users against unauthorized deletion, we may ask for enough information to verify that the request really comes from the account holder or an authorized person. If you email us from a different address than the one tied to the account, verification may take longer.
Processing time can vary depending on the request, account state, legal holds, platform issues, or whether manual review is required.
InkMeld can involve different account states over time. Some users begin with an anonymous or device-based session and later link that session to Google, Apple, or another sign-in method. Others may use the same account across multiple devices. When you delete the account, we aim to remove the account identity and its related account-linked records across the service, but the exact scope depends on how the account was used and what data was actually synced to the cloud.
If you used multiple devices, you may still need to uninstall the app, clear local files, or remove exported media from each device separately. Deleting the account from one device does not physically erase screenshots, photo gallery exports, or manually saved files from every other device that previously accessed them.
Account deletion does not necessarily erase records held by Apple, Google, payment processors, or tax/accounting systems. If you bought credits, premium access, or subscriptions through an app store, the store may keep its own transaction record under its own legal obligations and retention periods.
We may also keep limited purchase-verification, anti-fraud, chargeback, entitlement, or bookkeeping records where the law allows or requires that retention. Deleting the account does not automatically create a refund, reverse a lawful purchase already delivered, or remove historic accounting obligations.
If you used cloud sync, some content may exist in active storage, synchronization metadata, deletion queues, temporary caches, or backups for a limited time. We generally aim to remove active account data first, with remaining technical copies expiring later through normal cleanup and backup-rotation processes.
Because of that architecture, a deletion request may not mean that every technical copy disappears instantly at the exact same second. It means the account enters or completes a deletion process designed to remove the data from active use and then allow residual technical copies to age out where applicable.
If you no longer have access to the email address connected to the account, cannot sign in, or cannot reach the in-app deletion control, you can still contact us at [email protected]. In that situation, we may need extra information to verify that the request really comes from the account holder.
Verification may involve confirming old purchase details, platform information, approximate creation dates, linked sign-in methods, or other non-public account facts. We do this to help prevent someone else from deleting your account without authorization.
Account deletion is intended to be irreversible once fully processed. If you think you may want the content later, make sure you keep any lawful copies you genuinely need before submitting the request. After deletion is completed, previously synced data, account links, and stored records may no longer be recoverable by support.
If your goal is only to stop notifications, pause use of the service, or change sign-in details, contact us first instead of deleting the account immediately. Permanent deletion is usually the right choice only when you want the account and its remaining account-linked data removed rather than temporarily deactivated.
If you are making a deletion request on behalf of someone else, such as a child, a person under guardianship, a deceased user, or a person who has authorized you to act for them, contact us at [email protected]. We may ask for proof of authority before taking action.
The type of proof we ask for may depend on the situation and local law. We do this to protect the account holder and to reduce the risk of deleting an account based on an unauthorized or mistaken request.
In rare situations, we may need to delay or limit deletion if the account is associated with an unresolved payment dispute, fraud investigation, security incident, legal claim, legal hold, or another situation where the law allows or requires limited retention. This does not mean we keep using the data for normal product purposes; it means some records may have to be isolated and preserved for the specific lawful reason involved.
Where possible, we aim to restrict retained information to the narrow set of records reasonably necessary for that purpose.
If you are locked out because of a sign-in problem, device change, or email issue, it may be better to recover access first instead of deleting the account immediately. Once the account is deleted, previously synced items, purchase associations, and cloud-linked history may no longer be available for recovery.
If you are unsure whether to recover or delete, contact us first and explain the situation. We can help you decide which route is more appropriate.
You can delete your InkMeld account in one of two ways: email [email protected], or open the app, go to Settings, scroll all the way to the bottom, and delete the entire account with a single in-app action.
Before you do, make sure you have removed or saved anything you lawfully need from your own devices and understand that permanent deletion is designed to remove the account rather than pause it.
If the issue is billing, login, credits, or access recovery rather than permanent deletion, use the Support Hub first and we can help you recover the account before you remove it.
